First we would draw vertical and horizontal lines from each of the coloured lines and diamonds around the edge of the invite.

Where the line from the diamond intersects with the line from the side of the same colour, we get a letter that then relates to that colour.

Then the coloured marks on the back of the envelope give the order in which the letters should be arranged to arrive at the answer.
